Growing up in Small Heath, Birmingham in the 1950's I developed my love of drawing and painting at the Bournville School of Art. It was a beautiful building and place to study. Studying Fine Art at Hull College of Art proved to be an equally valuable experience.
Completing my studies at Manchester Polytechnic, my career as an artist took an inevitable detour as I took up a post in Student Services. My intention was to supplement my art work with a 'proper day job'. Thirty years later, living in Cumbria, I happily find myself making painting my primary occupation. My contact with Student Services and the city now tends to be exclusively social!
New work will gradually replace current images as a natural development to the site.
